We’re excited to bring Winterthur Cricket Club to the web, making it easier than ever for current and prospective members to stay connected.
Founded in 1982, our club is based in the Swiss town of Winterthur, just 25 kilometers east of Zurich. We are proud members of Cricket Switzerland, and one of the few clubs in the country to play on an official non-turf cricket pitch.

But we’re more than just cricket! Winterthur Cricket Club also has a vibrant social scene. Over the years, we’ve hosted a variety of events including bowling nights, BBQs, brunches, curry evenings, ski weekends, billiards, and plenty more.

Season & Activities
Season of Cricket and Community
The cricket season at Winterthur Cricket Club runs from April through early October. Our home matches are typically played on Sundays, starting around midday.
Training (Nets) We hold net sessions every Friday evening, kicking off anytime after 6 pm and continuing until dusk. After training, players and friends gather for a social evening at Restaurant Rössli, just a 15-minute walk from the ground. While nets pause during the off-season, the Rössli gathering continues year-round — a great way to meet club members, including some of the founding players!
We also host our own cricket festival from time to time and organize international tours to destinations such as Italy, France, England, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
Competitions & Tours Winterthur Cricket Club competes in several major competitions, including:
The domestic 40-over league
The National Mr. Pickwick T20 Cricket Cup
Various T20 tournaments such as Zuoz and the famous Cricket On Ice in St. Moritz.
In addition, Winterthur is the proud adopted home of the Zurich Crickets Cricket Club, the regional youth team, helping to grow and support the next generation of Swiss cricketers.
Membership
Join The Winterthur CC
The Winterthur Cricket Club welcomes members from across the Zurich region, including the surrounding counties of Schweiz, St. Gallen, Aargau, Thurgau, and Schaffhausen.
We charge a modest membership fee to help fund the club’s operations, including ground rental and equipment. There is a 50% discount available for members under 18 years of age.
